Dried persimmons are soft, fleshy and moist. Our persimmons are collected from the gardens in Honaz,district of Denizli province, in the Aegean Region.
70 percent of Turkey’s persimmons needs are met from Denizli. While preparing dried persimmons, the fruits are first picked before they are fully ripe and then peeled off.
It is hung in a place with plenty of sun and left to dry. After 3 to 4 weeks, the persimmon is ready to eat. Persimmon is good for stomach problems. It is a high source of antioxidants. It protects eyes against diseases that occur due to old age. It has the feature of lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol. When used regularly, it relieves diarrhea. There is 3.6% fiber in 100 grams of persimmon, which is a high fiber source.
